Edward C. Iannarella
Edward C. Iannarella is President of Stonehenge Consulting Group, an international firm specializing in hotel sales training and consulting. He has developed and delivered sales training programs for all types and segments of hotels and resorts in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Aruba, England, and Central and South America. 2009 marks his 29th year in the hospitality sales world.
He has designed, developed, and delivered chain-wide (brand level) sales training programs that have been a brand requirement for approximately 3,000 hotels made up of such chains as Residence Inns, Baymont Inns, Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, and the Blackstone portfolio of hotels. He has been a speaker/presenter at annual conferences for Hilton, Best Western, Choice Hotels, the Blackstone Family of Hotels, the Pennsylvania Tourist and Lodging Association, and numerous hospitality management companies.
From 1986 to 1994, Mr. Iannarella was Vice President of Marketing & Operations for Inn Management Services of Lancaster, PA, a hotel development and management company where he was responsible for pre-opening, marketing, and daily operations for extended-stay hotels in New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. His duties included the hiring and training of General Managers and Sales Directors for the company’s locations. He was also responsible for all hotel budgets, monthly monitoring of profit and loss statements and marketing plans, and the development of its public relations and advertising efforts.
During this time period, Mr. Iannarella served five years on Residence Inn’s System Marketing Fund Committee which oversaw and allocated funding for the marketing efforts of approximately 100 Residence Inn by Marriott hotels nationwide.
From 1980 to 1986, he was with the Marriott family of hotels, first in the company’s full service hotel division and subsequently as the first National Director of Sales and Training for Residence Inns.
Mr. Iannarella holds a B.A. degree from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania and completed the Graduate Fellowship program for “International Understanding” at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Ed played basketball for a U.S. traveling team in Europe, is an amateur magician, and plays the guitar and harmonica. He currently resides with his wife Kimberly in Fort Myers, Florida.
