John E. Sokol

John E. Sokol is co-founder of Harbor Constructors, Inc., a general contracting firm based out of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Prior to forming Harbor Constructors, Mr. Sokol was the owner of Construction Advisors, a consulting firm which provided project management services to the commercial real estate industry for 15 years.

Mr. Sokol has successfully managed the completion of over 300 commercial real estate and construction projects during the last thirty years in Texas and Florida. These projects comprised of approximately 5 million square feet and nearly $450 million in project value.

Areas of expertise include renovation and/or new construction of site infrastructure, hotels, schools, office buildings, industrial, retail, corporate interiors, restaurants, medical, data facilities and financial institutions.

Notable Projects:
• New 600,000 SF mixed-use (office building, extended-stay hotel facility, clubhouse) development for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, FL – $59 million project cost.
• Reconstruction (hurricanes Charley and Wilma) of a 350,000 SF resort complex for Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, FL – $41 million project cost.
• New 43,000 SF chiller plant, renovation work and two new buildings for Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL -$4.5 million project cost.
• New 18,000 SF Medical Office Building/Surgery Center in Odessa, FL – $6 million project cost.
• New 34,000 SF office building for Bush Ross Law Firm in Tampa, FL – $10 million project cost.
• New 45,000 SF, four-building retail development @ SouthTown Center in Tampa, FL – $10.5 million project cost.
• New 45,000 SF, four-story school and performing arts building for the Patel Conservatory @ Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa, FL – $7 million project cost.
• Renovation of a 125,000 SF resort complex for Safety Harbor Resort & Spa in Safety Harbor, FL – $9 million project cost.
• New 25,000 SF multi-purpose building, classroom building and ice-storage cooling system for Jesuit High School in Tampa, FL – $3 million project cost.
• New 126,000 SF interior build-out for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Tampa, FL – $12.6 million project cost.

Mr. Sokol holds a B.A. Degree in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
He is a Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida.

Community involvement includes youth mentoring and coaching youth baseball.

Currently resides with his wife and two children in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
